How much does a compounding prescription cost?
Every compounded prescription is formulated and made uniquely for each patient. It is because of this variation in composition of each medicine, that the coast of each medicine will also be different. When the pharmacist contacts you about a prescription they will also inform you of the cost associated with it. Don't be concerned though as at Prime, You can always be assured by our lowest price guarantee.
How long does it take to make a compounded prescription?
The time taken to make a compounded prescription also varies depending on its complexity. From start to finish for a new prescription, it can take anywhere up to 4 hours to price, formulate, dispense, compound and finish the medicine.
How long will it be before I receive my medication?
Once we have received a visual copy of the prescription and payment, we will immediately start the compounding process. This can take as little as 30 minutes to complete. In 95% of cases, any prescription received before midday will be posted the same day. All prescriptions will be express posted and so will be delivered Australia wide the next business day. Due to refrigeration requirements, any medicines requiring refrigeration can not be sent over the weekend.
Where will my medication be sent?
Your medication can be sent to any address Australia wide or internationally. If directed by you, Prime can also post the medicine to a selected pharmacy as part of the Prime Partner Program, where you will be able to pick it up at your convenience. All medicines are packaged securely and sent via express post in boxes to prevent any damage or tampering.
When will I be contacted about my prescription?
Prime Compounding will contact you to confirm any details necessary to fulfil your prescription and again once the medicine has been sent to confirm delivery. This also provides a perfect opportunity for the staff to check your comfortability and understanding for the best quality use of the medicine.
What happens to any repeats on the prescription?
Prime Compounding Institute offers an exceptional free service called Pfile. Using Pfile, we will keep any requested prescription repeats at he pharmacy and enter them into our Pfile system. When your next prescription is due, we will be automatically directed to contact you to confirm your medicine is needed and to fulfil and compound that prescription. This service is provided free of charge and is widely recognised as the best way to support your adherence to the medication that has been prescribed.
How much notice will i need to give for any repeats on the prescription?
If you have chosen to leave the prescription repeats with Prime Compounding's Pfile service, then you will not be required to give any notice at all. Once the prescription is due to be made up, one of the staff from Prime Compounding will contact you to confirm your medicine need and will automate the process for you
